Meet Your Newest Wildcat!

You know you're getting old when your Saturday night consists of drinking a few cold beers at a Hillbilly Days parade, taking a nap, going to dinner at 5:30 and sitting on the couch with a few friends and waiting for the commitment of Doron Lamb to the University of Kentucky.

Well folks here he is, your newest Wildcat and member of the Big Blue Nation. Doron Lamb is the kind of player that should flourish in the DDM offense of Coach Cal. He is a lights out shooter who will more than likely not be a "one and done" type player, but we've been wrong before (ie Bledsoe and Orton).

Still Lamb should be a player that has a great career at UK. With him teaming along with the outside threat that Knight can be I think you'll see a totally different team this year. We may not be as good down low in the post as we were without Cousins but I believe we will be a much more balanced team and while we may not compete for a title next year (said that before too ie the beginning of last year), I think we are laying the ground work for what could be a team that rivals the talent of the '96 squad in 2011.

Who's going to be next for Cal in the recruiting wars this offseason? I'll be back a little later with some thoughts.
